HELP Copays Act Campaign

In order to make expensive medications more accessible, manufacturers may provide co-pay coupons or copay assistance cards to help patients cover the cost. However, some insurance companies do not count this assistance toward patient out-of-pocket costs.

The Help Ensure Lower Patient (HELP) Copays Act  is a bipartisan bill that requires health plans to count the value of copay assistance programs towards patients’ deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums.
