Use Your Voice to Create Change
Advocacy means pushing for change. You can ask lawmakers to:
- Create new laws that address problems people face.
- Update existing laws that need improvement.
- Remove outdated laws that no longer serve a purpose.
Here are some goals that Allergy & Asthma Network advocates commonly work toward:
- Better healthcare access: Making it easier for people to get the treatment and medicine they need.
- Cleaner air: Strengthening rules that reduce pollution and protect people who have trouble breathing.
- More funding for research. Increasing government support for studies, education, and services related to asthma and allergies.
- Fairer treatment: Ensuring that people from all backgrounds have equal opportunities and aren’t overlooked by the healthcare system.
By getting involved, you become part of the solution. Your voice matters, and advocacy is something anyone can do.

Join us for our annual Allergy & Asthma Day on Capitol Hill (AADCH)
Held in May each year, this event brings together advocates, professionals and researchers to talk with members of Congress in support of our common goal — to advance patient-centered research and advocate for better outcomes, access to care, education and treatments that lead to improved health and quality of life for everyone impacted by asthma, allergies and related conditions.
