Support Dillon’s Law

Dillon’s Law is a bipartisan bill designed to enhance community safety and well-being by expanding access to life-saving epinephrine in emergency situations, particularly in schools.

Key Provisions of Dillon’s Law:

  • Empowering “Good Samaritans”: The core provision of Dillon’s Law is to legally protect and encourage trained individuals, acting as “Good Samaritans,” to administer epinephrine during emergencies.
  • Addressing Gaps in Legal Frameworks: The bill aims to rectify current legal limitations that can cause dangerous delays in administering epinephrine, especially in schools where it might not be readily available to those who could otherwise help.
  • Reducing Preventable Tragedies: The legislation’s primary goal is to reduce preventable deaths and severe outcomes from anaphylaxis by ensuring that epinephrine can be administered swiftly when needed, regardless of who is present and trained.
  • Legal Protection for Trained Individuals: A crucial aspect of Dillon’s Law is providing legal protection to trained individuals who administer epinephrine in good faith during an emergency, removing a potential barrier to intervention.
